Why I Built This
I was that parent. The one pacing the sidelines, heart racing with every play. The one who drove home in silence after a "bad" game, or talking too much, or just not knowing how to process my own disappointment, let alone help my child process theirs.
I thought I was being supportive. I thought my intensity showed how much I cared. But somewhere along the way, I realized I had become part of the pressure and hatred of the game instead of the solution. My child's joy in the sport was dimming, and I could see it in their eyes after games.
The turning point came when my kid told his friends, "I am not good at this, I am not good at anything." That friend came to me and mentioned it. I had to face the truth: my love was unconditional, but my behavior wasn't showing that.
This platform exists because healing happens in reflection. Because awareness is the first step toward change. Because there are so many of us who love our kids deeply but need a safe space to examine how we show up in their athletic journey.
"You are not broken. You are not a bad parent. You are a human being who cares deeply and is learning to love better."
